It’s new Alchemy range of gas fires successfully combines the latest technology with a design aesthetic that places the product far ahead of the competition in terms of both beauty and functionality.

A gas fire from Chesney’s Alchemy range is an outstanding piece of engineering with every fire undergoing a rigorous build and performance process. The research engineers in our in-house laboratory have used the very latest technology to create a product that is unique in both its functionality and appearance.

Following endless experiments, flame patterns that are both generous and realistic have been achieved. With any gas appliance safety is of paramount importance. An Alchemy gas fire incorporates both a flame failure device and an oxygen depletion sensor.

The Alchemy range has been tested and certified by the UK’s leading independent test laboratory and our rigorous quality control systems ensure that all our appliances conform to British Standards.

Our aim is to create a range of fires that look as much as possible like the real thing. Each log is vacuum cast from an original piece of charred timber and individually hand painted to look as authentic as possible. We want our coals to look as though they have come from Newcastle and our logs from Sherwood Forest.

An Alchemy gas fire can be operated either manually or by hand held remote control. The remote control function is available either as original equipment or as an upgrade to any Alchemy fire post installation.
